The consecrations of Duan Yinmin and Ten Gan-lin

Bishops Duan Yinmin and Ten Ganlin, both consecrated by Bishop Jantzen in 1949, consecrated bishops without permission of the Holy See. Especially Duan In-ming started in 1958 with one of the first consecrations of a patriotic chinese bishop.

Li Xi-ting was the first Bishop in China elected by a council of priests and laymen in the Diocese of Chengdu.
